Once again I’m back with a 2 in one post style column… the difference this time is that the coat is made, yes, I’m mean stitched by me… as I discussed my new weekend hobby in my last post, so here is the result of it. It didn’t come out easy, be it making pattern of it or deciding on the finishing details, as I sat to work on sewing machine after like, 3 years, but I was pleased to see the end result. Hope you’ll like it too.
As winters are freezing us, and also it’s a festive season, but we’re layering ourselves up with clothes and clothes to feel cozy and ending up compromising on the style quotient somewhere, but no more. I have multiple reasons to justify for this simple looking coat
1st : the fabric : It’s Suede, I love suede, if I could, I’ll fill my wardrobe with it from dresses to coats to trousers, boots to never ending… LOL. The feel of this fabric is just so luxurious.
2nd : The print, it gives an extra brownie to the look and feel of the fabric and adds more richness to the most basic of the patterns you make with it.
3rd : Comfort : Most important of all to me, it’s non-complicated, simple, front hook & eye, adorned with little contrast embroidery at sleeve and bottom hem.
4th : It works wonders with Indian/ western/ family function to wedding or parties.
I know you’re wondering how to pair it up to make it so much more outgoing, Well!!! that’s what the post is all about. I’ll tell you how to be as happening with it, and how to wear it for a small family function… 😀
Coat: Made by me… 😀
Shirt: Forever New
Stockings: I don’t remember
Palazzo: Ritu Kumar
Black Boots: Zara
Golden Shoe: Charles & Keith
